The one wine they recommend for the table is the 2013 Coquet Gran Reserva Especial, a blend of 45% Xarello, 30% Macabeo and 25% Parellada aged in bottle with lees for no less than 30 months and sold without dosage (brut nature). I loved the slightly developed nose with some mineral hints of kerosene and lots of balsamic aromas, such as camphor, bay leaf, fennel and aniseed, coupled with apples and Mediterranean underbrush. The palate was vibrant and fresh, with the austerity I've seen in a few 2013s. 40,000 bottles produced.
