Finca Matambres is one of two single vineyard releases from this increasingly impressive Nava de Roa bodega. The vines are 23 years' old and sit on clay-based soils at 830 metres above the village. Savoury, grippy and concentrated, with some sweetness and structure from French and 20% American oak, savoury tannins and flavours of damson and liquorice. Built to age in bottle. 2024-32

Liquorice and blackberries aromas. Generous on the palate with a chewy and silky mouthfeel, well balanced with the oak and the acidity; long, spicy finish.
