Muti 2016

An Albariño produced exclusively for the US market, the 2016 Muti is produced with grapes from different vineyards and fermented and matured approximately in 50/50 stainless steel and oak foudre. It has a touch of spice and smoke and has a round palate with the salty, dry, granite signature on the finish. Even if 2016 was cooler than 2017, this feels riper than the 2017 I tasted next to it. It was harvested quite late after the rains that complicated the harvest. It's a more powerful style of Albariño. It should age nicely. 1,500 bottles produced.
