The Wine Advocate:

The 2019 Valdesabril is a new single-vineyard white qualified as Viñedo Singular, the new official single-vineyard category. It comes from an 80-year-old plot of Viura, 0.35 hectares at 630 meters in altitude in the village of Baños del Río Tobía in the Alto Najerilla zone on degraded sandstone soils. The full clusters were pressed and the juice fermented in well-seasoned oak vats, where the wine matured for 15 months, and then racked into stainless steel, where it rested for a further five to six months. It's varietal with waxy apples and white flowers and some faint spices. The palate is medium-bodied with moderate ripeness, 13.5% alcohol and very good acidity that makes it vibrant. It should develop nicely in bottle. 2,810 bottles and 20 double magnums were filled in March 2021.

James Suckling:

Lemon peel, green apple and hints of sour cream and white nuts on the nose, following through to a medium-bodied palate with fresh and creamy acidity. A very well-made viura. Drink now.
