The Wine Advocate:

I found an extra degree of freshness and precision in the 2017 Pepe Luis when I tasted next to the 2016. This is still young and undeveloped—it was bottled just before the 2018 harvest—and might need some more months in bottle to bloom. But there is great potential here. It has balance, persistence and clout and maintains the marine, oyster shell character I often find in this wine. 3,200 bottles were filled in September 2018.

Suckling:

A beautifully composed nose with pears and apples, as well as clotted cream and freshly sliced white melon. The palate has very rich and smooth apples and pears. Some white peaches, too. Superb structure, grapefruit citrus and minerally kick at the chalky finish. Drink now.
