Tim Atkin:

Koldo Eguren makes this very stylish Tempranillo with grapes from five different parcels in Elciego, Elvillar, Laguardia and Lapuebla. Thirty per cent of the wine undergoes carbonic maceration and the wine has a corresponding brightness and intensity of fruit. Aged in older oak, it's subtle, graceful and detailed, with layers of raspberry and bramble and a fresh, mineral-edged finish. 2024-30.

James Suckling:

Spiced cherries, berries and stones with a hint of bay leaf and olives. Juicy and berry-oriented on the palate with a medium body and some chalky tannins. Elegant and silky finish with creamy, fine-grained tannins. Drink now.

The Wine Advocate:

I tasted the 2020 and 2021 versions of both wines produced here, and the 2020s were darker, in color and fruit profile, denser and more concentrated than the 2021s. The 2020 Senderos de Ukan, despite being lower in alcohol (13%), feels a bit heavier than the 2020. The palate reveals more tannins—a different quality of tannins that were a little more rustic. Better with food. 21,500 bottles and 400 magnums produced. It was bottled in April 2022.
