The 2019 vintage of Los Tollos, sourced from a windy, 39-year-old site in Villamediana and featuring a field blend of Tempranillo with 4% Mazuelo and Malvasía Riojana, is a little darker and more concentrated than the 2020 release, with notes of Asian spices, savoury tannins and the same sense of energy and vitality. 2023-30.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2019 Sínodo Los Tollos feels a little riper (it has 14.5% alcohol) and oakier than the 2020, but it has more depth and weight in the palate. This has mellow acidity and a dusty mouthfeel. 932 bottles were filled in September 2020.
