The Wine Advocate:

The 2020 Jaen Reserva was aged for nine months in 20% new French oak. It comes in at 13.7% alcohol. Some briars and brambles precede the big fruit, but this shows fine concentration and even better structure. This is just a little tight. This can easily improve, opening up and getting better. It's delicious and nuanced now, but both of those things can also improve. It may age even better than anticipated. This is another super value from the winery.

James Suckling:

Notes of plums and blueberries with hints of licorice, dark chocolate and lavender. Medium-bodied and dry with a chalky texture and fine-grained tannins. Polished and refined with crunchy blue fruit and notes of crushed stones to close. Drink or hold.

Wine Enthusiast:

The Dão outpost of the Amorim family's vineyards has produced an impressively structured wine from Jaen, a grape rarely found on its own. The wine has spice, juicy tannins and high acidity that needs to soften. There is no wood aging, so the wine is all about black fruits. Drink from 2024.
