Terre Nere Etna Rosato 2022

This onion skin-coloured Etna rosé, from one of the volcano's finest producers, is excellent value. A blend of the youngest Nerello Mascalese vines of the estate, it has a breezy nose of oyster shell, wild herbs, wet stone and creamy lees, with some delicate red fruits weaving their way through. At first very pithy and salty, it soon gains creamy weight and a lovely, balanced intensity of pure red fruits. It's very stony and mineral on the mid-palate, showing zesty licks of lime and orange peel, and finishes long, bright, fresh and saline.

Notes of candied cherries and dried orange peel with hints of flowers and minerals. Clean and focused on the palate with a medium body, steady acidity and tangy, flinty character on the finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.
