Terroir Històric presta homenagem às nove aldeias que renderam tributo ao Prior da Cartuxa de Escaladei, onde residiam os monges que introduziram a viticultura no Priorat. Os pilares de Terroir al Lìmit são: a cultura do território, viticultura ecológica com produção tradicional de variedades nativas do Priorat. Um regresso às origens que olha para o futuro, com a ideia de mostrar às gerações futuras uma cultura vitivinícola única. Terroir Històric na sua versão tinta é um vinho muito frutado, leve, suculento e fácil de beber.

Vinha e preparação

Descrição
Vinhedos localizados em Bellmunt, Gratallops, El Lloar, Escaladei, Poboleda, Porrera, Torroja, Vilella Alta e Vilella Baixa a uma altitude entre 350 e 800 metros.
Idade
Entre 35 e 50 anos.
Solo
Ardósia, argila, granito.
Clima
Mediterrâneo.
Rendimento
6.000 quilogramas por hectare.
Colheita
Vindima manual em caixas de 12 quilos.
Vinificação
As uvas são introduzidas, sem desengace, em tanques de cimento. Em seguida, são levemente pisadas, fechadas e sujeitas a fermentação espontânea. A intervenção é a menor possível, não há bombeamento, o vinho é elaborado como uma infusão de uvas.
Envelhecimento
O vinho repousa durante 8 meses em depósitos de cimento.

A delicious and extremely drinkable Priorat with a chalky and peppery note to the wild cranberries, strawberries, licorice and orange peel. Fresh and medium-bodied with silky tannins and a juicy berry-fruited finish. Delicious now, so why wait?

The Wine Advocate:

The red 2021 Terroir Históric has moderate ripeness and 13.5% alcohol from a slightly cooler year that resulted in a tighter wine that is a little closed. It was bottled a little earlier with good freshness, more vertical and a little reticent but with balance. It has purity and is clean, with fine tannins. It aged exclusively in stainless steel (in the past they used concrete). It's medium-bodied, fresh and easy to drink. 30,000 bottles.

Tim Atkin:

Rugged and a little wild; a medley of red and dark fruits, crushed rocks and wild herbs. A blend of Garnacha and Carinyena, the acidity of the latter comes through strongly on the palate, running over grainy tannin like a river over stones. Lovely! 2022-2028
