"The pure Cariñena 2013 Trossos Vells is sourced from old vines around the village of Masroig planted on red clay soils at 300 meters altitude. It was fermented by plot with indigenous yeasts and aged for 11 months in oak barrels. I tasted it next to the 2012 and against all odds I preferred the older vintage. There is a faint note of acute ripeness and some licorice aromas here that hint at the possibility of less than perfect fruit. The quite straightforward palate is juicy, has great tannins with good acidity. 4,901 bottles produced, a much smaller quantity than in previous vintages".
Color: cereza, borde granate.
Aroma: fruta confitada, tostado, especiado, cuero muy curtido, mineral.
Boca: equilibrado, estructurado, sabroso.
