The Wine Advocate:

I found quite a lot of creamy oak in the nose of the red 2017 Villota Selección, a medium-bodied blend of Tempranillo (79%), Graciano (19%), Garnacha and Mazuelo (2%) with moderate alcohol and mellow acidity. It matured in French oak barrels for 18 months, and that seems to have marked the wine in a strong way. There are plenty of dusty tannins and oak-related flavors. It's a bit too oaky for my taste. 11,459 bottles and 200 magnums. It was bottled in May 2018.

Tim Atkin:

Maribel Bernardo of Bodegas Zugober is the consultant for this floral, refined red blend of Tempranillo with 12% Graciano and 2% each of Mazuelo and Garnacha, sourced from the Pérez-Villota family's 1974 plantings next to Contino. Subtle, alluring and perfumed, with one-third new oak, it's a graceful red with filigree tannins. 2021-30.
