Brilliant value from Mayte Calvo, the straight Viña Pomal Blanco pairs Viura with 30% Malvasía. Fermented and aged in an equal mix of French and American oak, it has citrus, pear and grapefruit flavours, a sheen of baking spice sweetness and plenty of zip and acidity. Very smart at the price. 2024-26.
