The Wine Advocate:

The 2022 1583 Albariño de Fefiñanes is the version of their yearly Albariño that is fermented in oak barrels where the oaking is very subtle, where the dominant aromas are of ripe yellow fruit, with just a spicy twixt, varietal, fresh and balanced.

First made in 1995, 1583 is one of a comparatively small number of Rías Baixas whites that's fermented in 20% new French oak. Lees aged for three months, with plenty of old vine concentration to balance the vanilla spicy wood, it has impressive minerality, granitic grip, notes of citrus, green apple and beeswax and a tangy finish. 2024-30
