The 2016 4 Kilos is Callet from old vines and is from a fresher year that produced a very elegant and fine wine. They didn't change anything in the vinification or aging, because they changed in 2013, and the wine just follows that path. This has to be one of the finest vintages for Callet; the wine is super elegant, subtle and nuanced, with the Mediterranean character and no trace of oak. Callet is a delicate grape and needs a gentle aging, and so they use 600-liter barrels and 2,500-liter oval vats, which respects the floral quality of the grape. The palate is medium-bodied and has fine tannins with grip, moderate acidity and moderate alcohol, all in great harmony and balance. This is simply superb. 15,000 bottles were filled in April 2018.
Vinificam variedades autóctones como a Callet, a Manto negro e a Fogoneu, a partir de vinhas cultivadas como se fossem um ecossistema em si mesmas, com a intenção de preservar a biodiversidade do solo.

Zumo de frutas sin estructura. Limpio. Corto en paladar. Persistencia baja. Buen equilibrio; eso sí. Pero los 97pk.. son un despropósito.

Maduixa, lleuger, fresc, bona acidesa. M’ha recordat un gammay. Bon vi.
Este vino se queda muy corto. He guardado dos botellas para volver a tomarlo pasado un año, a ver si se redondea.

Muy fresco. Se agradece el moderado nivel de alcohol.

1ª aproximación a bodega y variedad. Ha sorprendido y gustado. Aromas frutos del bosque, ligero y equilibrado en boca. Adecuada relación c/p
Aromas complejos y de mucha evolución. Necesita tiempo para abrirse. Su evolución en copa es sorprendente. En boca fino, terroso, mineral.
