No one understands Maturana Blanca better than Juan Carlos Sancha, the man who rescued the variety from oblivion. This comes from a vineyard around his house in Baños de Río Tobía and is a superb expression of what he thinks is Rioja's best grape. Stylishly wooded in 500-litre barrels, it has wax and baking spice aromas and a palate of pear, wet stones and grapefruit zest. 2024-27.
