The Salnés Albariño 2014 The Cup & Rings Albariño Sobre Lías is produced in conjunction with Adegas Galegas. It is kept in contact with the lees and feels quite leesy and balsamic, with strong aromas of bay leaf. There's always partial malolactic fermentation to try to soften the acidity, although this 2014 still feels quite acidic and with moderate alcohol, reflecting a cooler, Atlantic vintage. The palate has pungent flavors and a sharp texture. This can also be found under the brand name Pedra do Cribo. 30,000 bottles produced. The lot I tasted had been bottled in March 2017.
