Bernard Fouquet's intensely citrus-yellow colored NV Vouvray Brut Méthode Traditionelle displays a lovely, pure, fresh and aromatic bouquet of tropical fruits, popcorn, almond, herbal and lemon flavors intertwined with delicate, smoky, limestone notes. Medium to full-bodied, round and elegant, this 12% alcohol Chenin is a gorgeously fruit-intense, pure and refreshing sparkling wine; it stresses the tropical nature of Chenin, as well as the chalky nature of the terroir in Vouvray. The finish is really fresh and well structured, and respectively stimulating in its delicate grip and fine salinity. This is a lovely aperitif and a great alternative to the finest Blancs de Blancs from Champagne.
