The Wine Advocate:

"The 2014 El Origen de Prieto Pariente is a powerful and unusual blend of 78% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon from different villages in the province of Valladolid, Mucientes, Pedrosa del Rey and Valbuena de Duero. It fermented in stainless steel after a cold soak and aged in 500-liter oak barrels until bottling in April 2016. It's quite oaky and ripe, with aromas of sweet spices (cinnamon, vanilla) and a core of blackberries and plums. The palate is medium-bodied with dusty tannins and plenty of oak-related flavors. It ends dry and with some bitter flavors. Maybe with more time? 4,129 bottles and 40 magnums produced".
