"The 2014 El Sequé is pure old-vine, dry-farmed Monastrell fermented in open top stainless steel vats after a cold soak with a daily pigeage and two pumping overs. The wine matured in 500-liter French oak barrels for 12 months. There are liqueur-like aromas but also hints of freshness, which might sound a little contradictory, with bright cherry aromas and contained oak. The palate is medium-bodied, in fact, it seemed a bit light, clean and balanced, pretty straightforward. Some 35,000 bottles were filled in December 2015".
