The Wine Advocate:
"The 2014 Finca La Cuesta is so obviously young that it almost felt like a barrel sample. It is pure Mencía that had been aged in French oak barrels for one year. It feels like a much more complete version of the 2013, solid, with better balance and incipient complexity. The palate is still marked by the élevage, but you can feel the intensity and concentration of the year coupled with nice acidity, which provides for a very good balance within its powerful profile. A very promising vintage of Finca la Cuesta. 40,000 bottles produced".
