Avaliação dos peritos
The 2017 Cerro Las Cuevas is different from the previous years, as it's produced exclusively from two vineyards, Las Laderas and Calitrancos, in the zone of Ollauri. It's produced with old mixed varieties and perhaps a little more Graciano, which lends the wine more freshness, and the wine matured exclusively in a 3,800-liter oak foudre. The wine is a lot more expressive and lively, with vibrant fruit, floral and perfumed with a lot less oak influence than in previous vintages. This is different, a red with more personality, elegance and freshness. It also has a different texture and quality of tannins. 5,339 bottles and 200 magnums were filled in February 2019. - Luis Gutiérrez.
A really floral Rioja that shows mint, Thai basil, violets, bark, dark cherries and crushed stones. Medium-bodied and very firm on the palate with beautiful purity to the dark fruit and undeniable mineral accents. Impressive elegance and finesse. Drink in 2021.
Attractive, complex nose of savoury black plums, spicy overtones and hints of toasty oak. Very fresh palate with a robust concentration and lingering black tea finish.
After a break in 2016, this wonderful blend of Tempranillo with 20% Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha is back with a bang in 2017 and is made with fruit from the bodega's 2.5 hectares in Ollauri for the first time. Purity, balance, freshness and tangy red and black fruits are framed by chalky minerality and very subtle larger format oak. Brilliant winemaking. 2022-30
