La Tellería 2018

Another new wine in the portfolio, the 2018 La Tellería is a Mencía from the paraje that names the wine. The grapes were selected from the middle of the slope, where the soils are deeper and the wines rounder and easier, with fruit and good volume. This is ripe without excess, enough to make it tasty and attractive, but with some seriousness on the palate. It matured in a 10,000-liter oak foudre for four to five months. This is lighter and easier, more modern than the benchmark Pago de Valdoneje. 11,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2019.
