Tim Atkin:

Four villages in Burgos - La Aguilera, Olmedillo de Roa, Peñaranda de Duero and Villovela de Esgueva - are the source of this full-flavoured, well-structured Tinto Fino. Matured in 30% new French oak, it's an intense, violet-scented number with patisserie and blackberry pastille flavours, granular tannins and a fresh, tapering finish. 2023-29. 

Decanter:

From 40-year-old Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) grapes grown at 850m, spending 18 months in French oak before release. A full-bodied, juicy red with aromas of spicy black berries and black cherry. The deep-fruited palate is laced with sweet cedary oak, leather and liquorice, alongside ripe tannins. Will continue to develop with time in bottle. Drinking Window 2022-2032.
