"The Domaine Schieferkopf 2010 Riesling Buehl offers juicy, ripe peach and apricot invigoratingly tinged with the bitterness of their pits, a high-toned distilled pit fruit aura, and smoky notes of black tea. Full and lush, especially considering the vintage, but persistently bright, it finishes with a decidedly stony undertone that one is (at least in terms of this site’s geology) entitled to refer to as that of blue Devonian slate. Musky, peony-like inner-mouth perfume adds mystique to a wine I would not hesitate to plan on following through at least 2020"
