Viña Pedrosa Crianza 2020

The flagship 2020 Viña Pedrosa Crianza is perfumed and has ripe fruit without excess and integrated spiciness and smoke from the élevage in barrel. It fermented with a selection of indigenous yeasts from their older vines and matured in barrel for 18 months. It has notes of peach, ripe berries, flowers and sweet spices, with a mellow palate, fine tannins and a gentle and approachable mouthfeel. 300,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2022.

Two vineyards - Finca El Portillo and El Canto - are the source of this impressively structured Crianza, which has been part of the Pérez Pascuas range since 1980, two years before the Denominación de Origen was created. Mixing clay and limestone-based terroirs, it's dense, serious yet well balanced, with Asian spice and vanilla aromas, subtle wood integration and a core of bramble and blackberry fruit. 2023-30
