The fruit that goes into this commendably reliable Gran Reserva comes from Fonzaleche, Rodezno, Briones and Ollauri, all of it over 60 years' old, producing a wine that's suitably refreshing and long-lived. Iodine, tobacco and incense aromas segue into a sweet and subtle finish. 2019-25.

Good, linear backbone to this red with ripe-fruit, cedar and toasted-oak character and a flavorful finish. Drink or hold.
