The Wine Advocate:

The 2011 Gallaecia is an unusual late-harvest Albariño with 80% of botrytis. However, the wine is fermented dry and only has around four grams of residual sugar. It was kept in tank for two years before bottling. They have only managed to produce seven vintages of this wine 1996, 1999, 2002, 2004, 2007, 2009 and this one. The color is a deep golden with amber tints and the nose shows the telltale botrytis aromas, dried apricots, honey, lanolin, pollen and beeswax. The palate is quite dry, with concentration and volume and flavors of candied orange peel, very different, like a dry sweet wine, with some tannin towards the end, ending with a pleasant bitter finish. I still remember their 1996 vintage that was still drinking beautifully three or four years ago. 6,844 bottles produced.
