The 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé En Chatenay has turned out well, bursting with aromas of pear, green apple, nutmeg and almond paste. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, broad and powerful, with a fleshy core of fruit, chalky dry extract and a comparatively open-knit, even gourmand, profile. Based on this showing, the 2017 En Chatenay will be quite head-turning in its youth. - William Kelley.

En Chatenay is the name of the lieu-dit here, facing north at 350 metres in the sub-region of Vergisson. It's typical of the wines from cooler sites in Pouilly-Fuissé, crunchy with notes of citrus and scented baking spices. A core of acidity balances the stone fruit sweetness. - Tim Atkin MW.
