Bettane & Desseauve:

Au niveau de la fraîcheur, le millésime a été parfaitement respecté, grâce à une vendange adéquate et ce qu’il faut de longueur.

Decanter:

Bright pink rim. Sweet floral scents with pink flowers - violets and black cherries. Juicy and alive, this has a lovely fun energy - massy and concentrated raspberry and cherry fruit - there’s some flesh here with lots of salty minerality, liquorice, slate and dark chocolate. It’s not super wide, but it’s straight and elongated. Some sweet juiciness aligned to the acidity with minerality too. Fun and interesting. 15ha single block next to Figeac. A good buy.

Jeb Dunnuck:

Black cherries, cassis, graphite, and subtle oak notes all emerge from the 2024 Château Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac, a ripe, medium-bodied, fresh, focused wine. It has nicely integrated acidity, the forward, moderately concentrated style of the vintage, and terrific purity.

Suckling:

A touch of minerals to the lightly peppery fruit and lavender. Slightly lean on the palate with light to medium body and a gently chewy finish. A blend of 70% merlot and 30% cabernet franc.

Falstaff:

Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, broad rim brightening. Delicately herbal and savoury plum fruit, a hint of cherry, candied orange zest. Juicy, red cherry, subtle sweetness, lingers, a finely spiced companion at the table.
