The 2018 Côtes du Roussillon Occultum Lapidem Blanc comes across as powerful but slightly blunt and blocky, needing a bit of time to relax and unwind. It's rich, dense and long, with intense flavors of honey, lime zest and brine.
A step up in price and based mostly on Grenache Blanc and Grenache Gris, the 2018 Côtes Du Roussillon Occultum Lapidem Blanc gives up a ripe, mineral-laced style carrying lots of apple blossom and citrus fruits as well as medium to full-bodied richness, hints of spice and white flower, a rounded, layered texture, and beautiful balance. It's a richer white, yet it has bright acidity and a clean, crisp finish. Beautifully done, it should keep for at least 2-4 years, if not longer.
