Domaine de la Butte Bourgeuil Haut de la Butte 2019

Jacky Blot (Domaine de la Taille aux Loups in Montlouis) bought the 15-hectare Domaine de la Butte just before the 2020 harvest. La Butte is a steep, very well exposed, south facing clay-limestone slope. The vineyard is 'classified' in a Burgundian style with Mi-Pente in the middle of the slope making the top red. La Haute de la Butte is slightly less well exposed, although it is protected from cold north winds by forest.
