The Wine Advocate:

The white 2019 Doniene comes from a selection of more-structured wines from older vines with south- and southeast-facing orientations to give it more aging potential. In 2011, they did a selection of their own yeasts that are used for the fermentations. The wine is unoaked and kept with the lees until bottling. It's a lot riper than the Gorrondona from the same vintage, with exotic and ripe notes reminiscent of a Viognier, a little heavier with notes of dry hay. There is 1% more alcohol, and that's noticeable as the balance is different. I still like the dry, textured and mineral sensation on the palate, but I still found it too ripe for my taste, as it somewhat erases the identity. 19,000 bottles and 500 magnums produced. It was bottled from February 2020 in 5,000-liter lots.
