The Wine Advocate:

Funnily enough, the 2017 Goliardo Caíño, from a warmer year than 2018 (which I also tasted and could compare), has higher acidity and a low pH. The production and élevage were the same for both years, with natural fermentation of the destemmed grapes in a 4,600-liter oak vat where the wine later matured for 12 months. It has the aromatic profile I've seen in other reds from Caíño or with a majority of Caíño, the iron/rusty nail and blood side, with a touch of flint/match, more about the soil, more nuanced and subtler. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins and a very tasty finish. 4,000 bottles were filled in April 2019.
