"The entry-level Godello, the 2013 Ourive is produced with grapes from very old vines in the Bibei zone on a mixture of slate and granite soils. The must fermented in 300-liter French oak barrels with indigenous yeasts and the wine matured in barrel in contact with the lees without bâttonage for eight months. The nose is very clean with yellow fruit, hay and straw aromas though it is not terribly complex. The palate is quite full, with a spicy touch, high extract and a slightly bitter finish. 1,800 bottles were produced".
