Tamaral Finca La Mira 2018

Sweet vanilla spice, pine needle and chocolate character to the walnuts and fresh blackberries. Juicy, medium-bodied palate with plenty of chewy tannins woven into the long, creamy finish. Better in a year or two.

The 2018 Finca la Mira, which they define as their modern icon, is only produced in years they consider exceptional, and in 2018, it was bottled. It has 14.5% alcohol and mellow acidity and freshness. It was generously oaked, but the oak feels better integrated than in the Crianza; and the wine comes through as powerful, ripe, spicy and smoky, with a powerful palate and abundant tannins. It will be better with food and a little more time in bottle. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2020.
