Fresh dark cherries and red berries with a hint of iron, cumin and peppercorn on the nose. Very juicy and sappy, with tight, fine-grained tannins tucked up on the medium-bodied palate. Structured and mouthwatering finish. Delicious now, but can hold as well.
"To make a wine like this, you need the right vineyards," says Carlos Fernández of his perfumed, dare I say it, almost elegant expression of Graciano. Aged in Romanian oak of all things, it has granular, sculpted tannins, bramble and red cherry fruit, lots of perfume and an energetic, lingering finish. 2024-30
