Triacca Casa La Gatta 2017

With fruit sourced from steeply terraced vineyards, the Triacca 2017 Valtellina Superiore Casa la Gatta offers a slightly darker and more saturated profile compared to some of the other wines in this portfolio. The warm vintage has certainly contributed, but this wine is just darker and firmer in character. You are greeted by dark plum, crushed rock and pressed violets. All of this is capped by the sort of fresh acidity to pair with some Lombardy cheeses: Gorgonzola and Taleggio come to mind.
