Decanter:

Colin produces an exuberant, dense version of Santenay from his 0.71-hectare parcel of 50-year-old vines in Pralons Dessus, located just below the Premier Cru ‘Clos de Tavannes’. The grapes are destemmed and slowly fermented on native yeasts prior to ageing for 18 months in cask (25% new). The result is ripe and dark, with notes of cassis and plum underscored by smoke, leather and a touch of earth. Drinks well now, will open even more with five years of age. - Charles Curtis MW

Le Revue du Vin de France:

Son fruit légèrement mat à l’ouverture se rafraichit rapidement, gagnant en noblesse d’arome avec une maturité toute solaire. La bouche nous emporte par sa pulpe et sa gourmandise dissimulant des tannins gras qui le porteront une à plusieurs décennies.
