La Maragata 2018

The first Godello from Pittacum is very impressive. The 2018 La Maragata comes from a 13-year-old vineyard at 700 meters in altitude at the feet of the Aquilianos Mountains in Ponferrada, a cooler place and a cooler year that made the grapes ripen later and the wine to achieve a not negligible 14% alcohol. It has a peachy and expressive nose and a balanced and polished palate with very good acidity and a long, dry finish. It fermented and matured in oak, but the oak is neatly integrated. 3,950 bottles were filled in August 2020.
