Mixing fruit from the various villages in the Rioja Alta with 15% fruit from Laguardia and Lanciego, this stylish, Tempranillo-dominated Reserva is made to a commendably consistent quality. Aged in French oak, it's dense, concentrated yet refreshing with bramble, black cherry and nutmeg flavours and fresh acidity. 2021-28

James Suckling:

Aromas of ripe berries and plums with spices and toasted oak, as well as dried flowers, following through to a full body with chewy tannins and a tannic finish. Lots of fruit and tannins still. Another year or two will soften it. Try in 2021.
