Avaliação dos peritos

Tim Atkin:

Ripe, aromatic and very juicy. Packed with ripe apricot, banana and green pineapple, with some sweetness from the 10 months spent in French oak. A huge amount of flavour and with such mouth-watering acidity to balance it, this is a wonderful example of this variety. 2022-2032.

The Wine Advocate:

The red 2020 Mas Vilella Negre comes from vines planted by the father of proprietor Albert Jané in 1984 on stony soils. It is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Sumoll with high ripeness and 15% alcohol but keeping a low pH (good freshness). It fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in new and second use 300- and 400-liter French oak barrels for 12 months. It's heady and ripe, with notes of very ripe raspberries, coulis and herbs. It's full-bodied and has abundant tannins and a bitter twist in the finish. 9,124 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2022.
