The Wine Advocate:

The second wine 2019 Puppi Barbarot, inspired by her dog, is a perfumed and showy blend of Tempranillo and 15% Merlot that she says should provide the youth and joy of a puppy. The label says 15% alcohol, but the alcohol is not noticeable in this velvety effort that has an absence of herbal aromas and flavors and comes through as juicy, velvety and tasty, with very fine tannins.

Puppi is the second wine from the talented Bárbara Palacios, made with her unique blend (in Rioja at least) of Tempranillo and 15% Merlot. Plush and full bodied, with nuanced oak, graceful tannins, red berry and graphite flavours and a fresh, herbal finish. 2023-27
