Like the Paraje Oeste, the 2019 Primera Vendimia Paraje Norte used to be part of the blend Primera Vendimia, but it's now bottled separately. It comes from Monastrell grapes from 50-year-old vines on very stony soils at 800 meters in altitude, which seemed to provide more freshness to the wine. The fermentation and élevage was the same, with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and three months in used barriques. I liked this one better.
