Para a elaboração deste tinto jovem, Artuke utiliza a técnica de maceração carbónica, um método de produção tradicional e histórico na Rioja Alavesa. Além disso, embora não esteja certificada, pratica uma viticultura biológica. Fermenta todo o cacho para obter um vinho muito frutado, pouco encorpado e fácil de beber.

The carbonic-maceration red 2023 Artuke, named after their village in Baños de Ebro, contains some 5% Viura grapes and has a moderate 13.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.5. It's light and fresh, aromatic and floral, open and expressive, quite harmonious for its young age. It was bottled after three to six months in concrete. It's a textbook example of the category and among my favorite carbonic-maceration reds from Rioja year after year. It's velvety and juicy, soft and tasty. 80,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in late December 2023.
Brambly nose with sour cherries, ripe strawberries and touches of bubble gum and flowers that come from carbonic maceration. Bright acidity with good energy. Not complex but quite cheerful, laid-back and drinkable. Tempranillo and 7% to 10% viura. Drink now.
