Fontanafredda Proprietà in Fontanafredda DOCG 2015

The Fontanafredda 2015 Barolo Fontanafredda Proprietà in Fontanafredda offers a broad and wide bouquet with little specific fruit definition. The wine embraces the cornerstones of the variety with wild berry, ash, licorice and crushed violet, but it doesn't emphasize one aroma over another. The aromatic high notes are whittled down. There is more fiber and backbone to this 2015 vintage compared to the 2016 vintage that I tasted at the same time. Some 1,250 six-bottle cases were produced.
