Descrição

O Finca Cascorrales é um dos vinhos de parcela da Hacienda Solano, e é proveniente de uma quinta homónima com cepas centenárias plantadas sobre solos de cascalho, mais argiloso que os de Peña Lobera. Estes solos dão lugar a vinhos com mais corpulência e estrutura, descrições que se refletem na degustação deste vinho do qual apenas se elaboraram mil garrafas. Um dos tintos mais exclusivos da família Cubillo e de Toni Sarrión, nascido em uma das zonas mais bem cotadas atualmente da Ribera del Duero.

The Wine Advocate:

I also tasted the 2016 Finca Cascorrales, the other single-vineyard bottling from the same year that fermented in open-top used 500-liter oak barrels, where the wine underwent malolactic and matured for two winters. This is fresher, more elegant and showed better-integrated oak than the 2015 I tasted next to it. It's perfumed and characterful but doesn't quite reach the elegance of the 2016 Peña Lobera. The tannins are very fine, and the wine shows strong minerality in the texture and has a long and tasty finish. It has the sapid character of the limestone soils... They have more vines in this vineyard, and there is potential to grow in volume. Only 1,000 bottles were filled in the summer of 2018.
