Avaliação dos peritos

James Suckling:

Perfumed and nicely polished second wine of Grand-Puy-Lacoste with pretty sandalwood, blackberry and currant notes. Some fresh herbs and mocha, too. Nicely framed with fleshy tannins. 56% cabernet sauvignon, 36% merlot and 8% cabernet franc.

Decanter:

Lovely classic Cabernet typicity on the palate, the green pepper, the eucalyptus, liquorice, crushed stone and such freshness and mintiness. This has power and structure, it’s clearly intense and concentrated but the tannins are so well executed. The acidity gifts lift while the other elements settle on the tongue, really pronounced, filling the mouth. This is seductive, no wallflower with satin tannins. A blockbuster of a second wine here. One of the more potent and powerful second wines but with excellent capacity to give enjoyment, screaming: 'drink me!'. Drinking Window 2024 - 2034.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2021 Lacoste-Borie is a supple, charming wine, bursting with aromas of sweet cherries, berries, licorice and spices. Medium-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, with melting tannins and a generous core of fruit, it will drink well on release. It's a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc.
