Paul Cluver Estate Chardonnay 2018

There's a lovely wood-spice overlay to the bouquet of this inviting Chardonnay, riding atop the fresh yellow apple, Anjou pear, brioche and lemon curd core. It's medium in weight and smooth on the palate, with ample acidity and bright citrus tones that amplify and support the ripe orchard-fruit flavors and lend verve and refreshment through the mouthwatering close. An evolving finish seals the deal nicely, transitioning from bright citrus to toasted apple and finally delicate kisses of baking spice. It's hared to resist now, but should hold well through 2026.
