Vinha e preparação

Descrição
Vinhas situadas entre 480 e 520 metros acima do nível do mar.
Solo
Profundos, ricos em argila.
Clima
O inverno húmido permitiu que as plantas mantivessem uma intensa atividade metabólica mesmo durante o verão quente. As chuvas no final de agosto baixaram a temperatura em geral, o que causou uma grande variação térmica diurna. A maturação continuou impecável durante todo o mês de setembro, facilitando uma vindima saudável e regular.
Vinificação
Fermentação durante 10 dias em cubas de inox troncocónicas e cubas de betão a baixa temperatura (máx. 23 °C). Mais 5 dias de maceração.
Envelhecimento
12 meses em grandes barricas de carvalho francês.

Coming from the more sandy and fertile soils in the lowest part of the vineyards (the first vineyards they harvest), the 2022 Rosso Di Montalcino is a bright ruby red color and opens to fresh aromas of ripe cherries, fresh herbs, and licorice. Medium-bodied, it retains good ripeness and has fine tannins, with notes of apricot on the palate and a clean, orange citrus-toned finish. It‘s a very appealing Rosso that’s ready to drink now or over the coming 5-6 years.

Decanter:

Fragrant and full on the nose. Bright and lifted on the palate, really forward and intense but in a juicy, fun way. This has energy and verve, a lovely filling wine with plenty of sour strawberry and fleshy strawberry elements. Great with food and a lovely wine for the price point. Feels very natural and well worked, not trying too hard and nothing obscuring it's fruity nature with high acidity all the way through. Clean and crisp.
